Cheese Making

Steve and Simone in cheese making PPE

In preparation for the Royal Queensland Show Student Cheese Competition students participated in a cheese making day in early May to prepare their entries.

Students made camembert and blue cheese for this year's show. The entries are now maturing in the school’s cheese fridge to ensure they are at their best for the judging on 24 June 2016.
This year, science teacher Simone and youth worker Steve (pictured) participated in the workshop to learn the art of cheese making.
A school judging will be held in early July to confirm if, as expected, the student cheeses are superior to the adult made ones.
