Outhouse Donation

Late in Term 3 an outhouse made by BYETC construction students was donated to the Ipswich Historical Society. Made as an outdoor storage shed the outhouse is will be installed in the backyard at Jim Donald House, an old miner’s cottage in New Chum which has been furnished with historical items.

Margaret Nicol, secretary of the historical society has indicated that there are plans to eventually turn the outhouse into a replica 'dunny'.
The construction team of Rob, Dave, Robert, Kim and Ivan have made several significant donations to the community in 2015 and the outhouse is arguably the best job yet. Well done!
