Sharing Sacred Ground

During NAIDOC celebrations

During this year’s NAIDOC week celebrations dancers from the centre blessed the BYETC entry for the Ekka wheelbarrow garden completion with sand from the sacred ground dance pit.  This act symbolises the connection that is over 50,000+ years of indigenous heritage in our country.  This is what connects people to landscape in Australia.

We want our efforts and knowledge to come from our heritage but we also want our future with all of Australia; the plants we have chosen reflect this desire.  They represent our desire to live healthily and participate fully in the world around us.
